Designing Origin-Destination Flow Matrices from Individual Mobile Phone Paths The effect of spatiotemporal filtering on flow measurement

چکیده
In the past few years the mobile phone data are considered as a useful complementary source of information for human mobility research. In this paper, we focus on the computation of the Origin Destination matrix using mobile phone data. First, a new approach of OD matrix design which takes into account the spatiotemporal heterogeneities of mobile phone data is proposed. Second, some analysis allowing measuring the effect of spatiotemporal filtering on the OD matrix results are carried out.

Effects of Mobile Phone Radiation on Surface Tension and Volume Flow Rate of Human Blood groups
Introduction: The great use of electrical appliances in different life applications is one of the most obvious concerns because of its possible health drawbacks. These investigation reports results of electromagnetic field effect emitted from mobile phones on some biophysical parameters of human blood belonging to blood groups A, B, AB & O collected from the normal persons. The parameters obser...
متن کاملEstimating Origin-Destination flows using opportunistically collected mobile phone location data from one million users in Boston Metropolitan Area
In this paper, we present an algorithm for the analysis of opportunistically collected mobile phone location data to estimate a population’s travel demand in terms of origins and destinations of individual trips. Aggregating the trips from millions individual mobile phone users in the Boston Metropolitan area, we show that the estimated Origin-Destination flows correlate well with the US Census...
متن کاملDetecting Origin-Destination Mobility Flows From Geotagged Tweets in Greater Los Angeles Area
Trajectory-based mobility research plays an increasing role in GIScience and related domains. Typically, the research results heavily depend on the quality and resolution of data that can be collected, e.g., via surveys. In travel behaviour and transportation studies, time and cost constrains are the limiting factors for the collection of large-scale individual travel behaviour data using tradi...
متن کاملUncovering the spatial structure of mobility networks
The extraction of a clear and simple footprint of the structure of large, weighted and directed networks is a general problem that has relevance for many applications. An important example is seen in origin-destination matrices, which contain the complete information on commuting flows, but are difficult to analyze and compare. We propose here a versatile method, which extracts a coarse-grained...
متن کاملEffect of Post-Reconstruction Gaussian Filtering on Image Quality and Myocardial Blood Flow Measurement with N-13 Ammonia PET
Objective(s): In order to evaluate the effect of post-reconstruction Gaussian filtering on image quality and myocardial blood flow (MBF) measurement by dynamic N-13 ammonia positron emission tomography (PET), we compared various reconstruction and filtering methods with image characteristics. Methods: Dynamic PET images of three patients with coronary artery disease (male-female ratio of 2:1; a...
